Signals reference

What FixVitals reads, checks, and reports.

These signals explain why mobile LCP, INP, or CLS moved and whether the buying path still works. The monthly email reports what changed, what stayed green, and what FixVitals will not touch.

Inside the report

Storefront evidence, in plain language.

Each row names the signal and the decision it supports.

  1. Core Web Vitals

Search Console field status + mobile lab trace

Mobile LCP, INP, and CLS status, plus the trace evidence behind the current mobile issue.

  2. Images and video

    Media weight + loading priority

Which image or video request delays useful content, and which theme or media change can address it.

  3. Apps and scripts

    Main-thread work + load timing

Which app or script blocks rendering or delays input, and what storefront function it supports.

  4. Theme loading

    Templates, sections + asset order

Which template, section, snippet, stylesheet, or script delays visible product content.

  5. Storefront changes

    Regression after a release

The app, campaign, or theme change linked to a regression and the field status being watched.

  6. Asset delivery

    Duplicate requests + caching

Duplicate requests, cacheable theme assets, and delivery work the storefront can change.

  7. Product, cart, and checkout

    Buying path green / red

Product page, variant selection, add to cart, cart, and checkout handoff—checked after every change.

  8. Redirects

    Route-chain length

Avoidable redirect chains and stale routes that slow a product page or campaign landing page.

  9. Mobile interactions

    Tap response + layout stability

Slow taps, blocked navigation, and shifting drawers or product options behind poor INP or CLS.

  10. Release limits

    Payload + blocking work

Whether a release adds payload or blocking work that pushes the storefront behind its baseline.

  11. Analytics and tags

    Duplicate tags + firing order

Tags that fire twice, load too early, or add critical-path work without a clear purpose.

  12. Custom code

    Browser work from custom sections

Custom sections, snippets, and browser code adding costly work or breaking the buying path.
